Valuable Irish Support
Two Irish supporters who threw their weight behind Self Help's efforts to provide improved facilities for African children in Malawi and Kenya respectively, have seen their efforts bearing fruit, this Summer.
Mayo County Councilor Michael Holmes, who raised €40,000 last year for a school and clinic for HIV/AIDS orphans in Malawi, was notified recently that building work on the facility has been completed. Meanwhile, building work is well underway in Elementita, Kenya, on a new school facility thanks to Dublin yoga instructor Elma Toland - who raised more than €30,000 after visiting Self Help's Gilgil Project in Kenya, last year. |
