Development works in Africa

T.I.C.N. Supporting Self Help projects in Africa.

Valuable Irish Support

Two Irish supporters who threw their weight behind Self Help's efforts to provide improved facilities for African children in Malawi and Kenya respectively, have seen their efforts bearing fruit, this Summer.

Mayo County Councilor Michael Holmes, who raised €40,000 last year for a school and clinic for HIV/AIDS orphans in Malawi, was notified recently that building work on the facility has been completed. Meanwhile, building work is well underway in Elementita, Kenya, on a new school facility thanks to Dublin yoga instructor Elma Toland - who raised more than €30,000 after visiting Self Help's Gilgil Project in Kenya, last year.

Bicycle - €60.00

Buy a bike and bring pedal power to our agricultural extension workers. These bikes enable trained advisors to reach more farmers, and achieve much more with the communities with whom they work.
Water Pump - €250.00

A treadle pump and ancillary equipment will enable an African farm family to efficiently begin vegetable production under irrigation, and thus increase their food production.
Energy Saving Stove - €30.00

Sponsor 70 tree seedlings for a homestead woodlot, and provide a family a valuable
source of fuel, timber, and help in combating erosion.

T.I.C.N.’s fundraising efforts provide us all with the opportunity to ‘Give Back’ in appreciation of
our blessings. Please help us with any donation you can to fund the above projects. Kevin Flynn – 086 604 2204 or kevin@ticn.com
